Eat Here is the sidekick to the award-winning Beach Bistro. Eat Here celebrates chef-crafted, Gulf-Coast cookery featuring presentations of local farm products, fresh, locally-caught seafood and inspired pizza and tacos. Eat Here also serves craft beers and wines from primarily family-owned vineyards. Eat Here offers a more relaxed and casual setting than its famous counterpart, the Beach Bistro, but make no mistake, the food here is just as delicious and also expertly prepared.

Ginny’s & Jane E’s

At Ginny’s & Jane E’s you will hear the sound of people enjoying a meal together with their friends and neighbors. We are delighted to bring you the charm, the food, decor and the uncomplicated lifestyle of the island. Ginny & Jane E’s is located on the north end of Anna Maria Island and is a quick walk from many of the Lizzie Lu pet-friendly lodging options in the area. Stop by with your dog and relax outside and enjoy a few options from the delicious breakfast menu like the egg entrees or baked desserts.

Ocean Star

This sushi restaurant offers Japanese cuisine with a view of the ocean and marina. You can dock your boat then order a boat full of sushi! This restaurant deserves a bit of dressing up with elegant decor and splendid service. So put away those sandals and get ready for a romantic date spot on the waterfront located at 902 S. Bay Blvd near Gallati’s Marina.

Poppos Taqueria

Proudly bearing the category, “Gourmet Mexican Street Food,” Poppos has grown from a family restaurant to a large operation with multiple locations that expanded into the catering business. You can build your customized burritos, tacos, quesadillas and nachos using organically grown produce and meat marinated to perfection. Even their soda collection is special. They created their own using real sugar and even offer Kombucha. Or stick to their beer selection if you’re not feeling experimental.

Rod n Reel

A favorite for locals and guests alike, this two-story establishment is only minutes away from many Lizzie Lu accommodations and ready to serve up fantastic fish specials. Sit inside the casual dining room, or relax on the covered deck and enjoy a wonderful meal while watching the Florida sunset over the Gulf of Mexico. Bring a pole and some change, and you can complete the experience by fishing the waters right off the Rod and Reel Pier!

Scott’s Deli

Here is what you can expect from a trip to Scott’s Deli- great food, great value, friendly service, and a happy atmosphere. All the ingredients are locally sourced, and always fresh. The owner and chef, Scott loves to bake, so in addition to their standard menu, new treats are featured weekly. Scotts Deli is located in Holmes beach and offers free delivery service anywhere on the island North of Cortez Road, including beach delivery!

Starfish Company

Located in Cortez Village, The Star Fish Company first opened in the 1950s and was known as a great location to purchase fresh seafood that was locally caught. It wasn’t until 1996 after the company was sold to Karen Bell that it became a restaurant as well, serving up these simple yet delicious dishes that incorporate the fresh seafood that the company had been selling all those years prior. Close to many Lizzie Lu beachfront accommodations, this little eatery is well worth the stop, but be sure to bring cash!

Blue Marlin Restaurant

Located in an original 1920’s cottage on historic Bridge Street where the first bridge to Anna Maria Island was located. Nautical ship-lamps provide cozy lighting at an intimate beer & wine bar. The courtyard, “The Trap Yard”, offers live music on the weekends, and a great covered deck. For a special dessert, our Guinness chocolate cake is an absolute must, or you can also try our tropical bread pudding!

The French Table

Located in Bradenton Beach, The French Table offers a unique break from the typical beach seafood restaurant. Their Chef and owner works only with the freshest produce from local markets and makes fresh bread every day. Wander off the beaten path to find this incredible restaurant with delicious food and French atmosphere.

Wicked Cantina

At Wicked Cantina, they hand make all of our food in-house daily. Specializing in delicious, Austin style Tex Mex food and now offering American classics, locally owned and operated right at the beach on Anna Maria Island. Come by for breakfast, lunch or dinner to enjoy our Tex Mex and American breakfast items, tacos, enchiladas, and fajitas! Wicked Cantina also offers fantastic all Angus burgers and fish selections daily, as well as a full liquor bar. Join them for hand-crafted margaritas and sensational sunsets from their patio!

Skinny’s Place

If you’re looking for a great handcrafted burger that’s close to many Lizzie Lu island rentals, look no further than Skinny’s Place! Since 1952, Skinny’s Place has maintained a vintage burger joint atmosphere and has been the go-to place on the island for a satisfying burger. Try the Mid-Island Pounder after a long day at the beach, a delicious 1 lb. burger with four separate patties on the same bun, or the Skinny Cheeseburger for something a little lighter. Either way, be sure to see why the locals rave about this beloved little burger joint!

Best Places To Find Dessert

The Cupcake Shop

With blue metal chairs and an impressive display of delicious desserts, The Cupcake Shop is worth a visit located at 3324 E Bay Drive. They have daily cupcakes such as cookie dough, red velvet, carrot cake, and Twice as Nice – a chocolate cupcake frosted with buttercream and topped with dark and white chocolate shavings! YUM! But these daily cupcakes are sold until they run out, so getting there early could be beneficial. Or try their rotating menu that ranges from apple pie cupcakes, black forest, butterbeer, cookie monster, dirty chai, PB&J, S’mores, and more! We didn’t even name any cupcakes from their seasonal menu!

Donut Experiment

Donut Experiment features made-to-order donuts. You may ask, what exactly is a made-to-order donut? Well, we start out with a vanilla cake donut, that is made right in front of you, and then you pick your icing and topping. We always have a minimum of four icings and 14 toppings to choose from, so the possibilities are endless. We also serve fresh roasted, fresh ground and freshly brewed coffee. With a constant rotation of coffee flavors, you never know what we are brewing up.

Hometown Desserts offers an array of delectable desserts and can provide anything from chocolate covered strawberries to wedding cakes to a cookie and cup of coffee… Call to order or stop by and see what they have baking!

Two Scoops

Try one of Two Scoops’ famous shakes, signature sundaes, or traditional ice cream cones! But don’t fill up just on sweets, because they also have a full breakfast and lunch menu that’s sure to please. Two Scoops Ice Cream is located by the Anna Maria City Pier on the north end of Anna Maria Island. Ride the trolley to the pier, grab a cone and stroll the pier to enjoy the evening fisherman, views of the Sunshine Skyway and if the tide is low, check out the shells that were brought in during the high tide. Be careful though, some of the shells may still be occupied!
