Restaurant History
Sean Murphy and his wife Susan have owned the Beach Bistro for nearly 3 decades, but decided to expand and open eat here Anna Maria–a family friendly, lighthearted, and more affordable alternative. They realized another high-end restaurant wasn’t needed in the area. What was needed was one that offered quick, light, and fun casual fare at a good price.
Sean is from Nova Scotia and originally studied to be a lawyer. Eventually, he decided to leave the courtroom behind and followed his taste buds to New Orleans. There, he honed his culinary skills, eventually bringing them to Florida.
The basic but eye-catching name of the restaurant says it all. It’s a place focused on simple food quality without the frills. The utensils are mismatched, the menus are on clipboards, and home-style kitchen towels are used for napkins–you’re in for a unique experience!
