CSA-Logo-with-EA-Line_4colorLizzie Lu’s Island Retreat offers two types of insurance through CSA Travel Protection – Vacation Rental Damage Protection and Vacation Rental Travel Insurance. CSA is an insurance industry leader within the hospitality sector and we highly recommend purchasing both options to protect you from unforeseen circumstances. When completing your reservation online or over the phone, both are available for purchase. Below is additional information about each plan.

Vacation Rental Damage Protection

Accidents happen but they shouldn’t ruin your vacation! Don’t worry about losing a costly security deposit – this policy will provide coverage for unintentional damage occurring during your stay. We have adopted CSA’s Vacation Rental Damage Protection into our standard policy in lieu of requiring a large deposit which can take up to a month to refund after your departure. With an easy one time payment, you can feel at home and relaxed during your stay and focus on spending that extra money that would have been held up as a security deposit. If any accidental damage occurs, just report the incident to Lizzie Lu’s Island Retreat before you leave and we will work directly with CSA Travel Protection to make the repair, up to $3,000. Of course, if you opt out of security protection we will accept a $1,000 deposit during your stay which will be refunded to you within 30 days of your departure date.

Vacation Rental Travel Insurance

Travel Insurance is designed to cover rental fees, deposits and other costs associated with your vacation. Should an event out of your control occur, you would be protected. Travel insurance is effective the date payment is received and covers the individuals listed on the rental agreement. Here are some examples of scenarios that could be covered by your policy:

  • You become sick or injured
  • A non-traveling family member passes away causing you to cancel your trip or return home early
  • During your stay, electricity is lost due to adverse weather
  • You are laid off from your job (after at least one year of employment)
  • Extension of school year causes you to arrive late

If you ever need help, CSA’s Worldwide 24-Hour emergency assistance services are just a free phone call away. Emergency services are listed in your plan documents and include (but are not limited to) medical referral, traveling companion assistance, emergency cash transfer, replacement of medication and eyeglasses, emergency messages, pet return and vehicle return. *To ensure the best service, have available your Policy/Reference number, location, local telephone number, and details of the situation. The assistance provider will confirm your enrollment and assist you. If you cannot call collect from your location, dial direct and give the assistance coordinator your telephone number and location and they will call you back. To call collect from a foreign country, you may first need to reach a live operator on the line. In some cases, that operator may not understand how to process collect calls to the United States. To be prepared, please visit consumer.att.com for information on how to reach an English-speaking operator. If you were unable to reach CSA collect and paid for your call, we will ask you for a number to phone you back at so you will pay no further charges.

Lizzie Lu’s Island Retreat Cancellation Policy

In the event of cancellation more than 30 days from the date of arrival, we will refund all deposits made less $150 cancellation fee. For cancellations made 30 days or less of the guest arrival date, no refunds will be given. Lizzie Lu’s Island Retreat, LLC will make the property available for rent at the time of cancellation notification. If the property is subsequently re-rented during the same time period the guest will be entitled to a refund. Refunds are subject to the amount recovered under the new reservation which may be discounted, less $150 cancellation fee. Properties may not be sublet without prior consent by Lizzie Lu’s Island Retreat, LLC. Please note, refunds will be given no earlier than 10 days from the date of deposit.
