Spring Fine Arts & Crafts Festival

Every spring, the Anna Maria Island Art League puts on ‘Springfest’ – a fine arts and crafts festival. Local and national artists show off their handcrafted pieces and will be right there in their booths to talk with you about their work.

Last year’s festival was hailed as one of “the best ever,” so you better believe that they’re looking to top that in 2020! Plan on seeing this for yourself by making it over to City Hall Field in gorgeous Holmes Beach. The festival only lasts for two days, and this year, those days are March 7th and 8th

You will get to see over eighty artists and crafters at the 32nd Annual Anna Maria Island Springfest Festival of Fine Arts and Fine Crafts, so be sure to bring your extra spending money! There is a gala raffle you can enter with proceeds going to the Art League’s Scholarship Fund. You can get tickets for $1 each or six tickets for $5. This gives you a chance to win some cool art and help budding artists grow their craft.

Beach’n Food Truck & Music Festival

Are you and your kids (and pets) needing a break from your stay in one of our Anna Maria Island pet-friendly rentals? Come on out to the Beach’n Food Truck & Music Festival, which is held mid-April of every year. This is a big event that lasts from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., so be sure to plan on being outside for hours!

You will get to experience a great line-up of live bands and musicians, arts and crafts, and – of course – yummy grub from an assortment of food trucks. There is even a Kids Zone for the young ones to burn off energy.

It is free to get in, and, yes, there are adult beverages available to help you cool down. Browse the shops, take in some music, and snag unique items from local crafters and artists. Just come out to Coquina Beach and see what this year’s festival has in store!

Blue’s Brews & BBQ

Another one of the Anna Maria Island spring events you should not miss is Blue’s Brews & BBQ. This event happens on Saturday, May 16th from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Bridge Street in Bradenton Beach. For just $5, those over 12 years old can get in, and those 12 and under are free. All of the proceeds from this event go to The Food Bank of Manatee County, and the gates open at 4 p.m.

There will not be any outside food or drink permitted, but that’s not a bad thing! There will be a ton of great vendors on site selling delectable drinks and filling food. Live music will be playing, and you can even play a rousing round of mini-golf! Bring your own chairs and blankets for seating unless you can snag a seat at a complimentary table.

You can enjoy music from legendary blues and jazz artists like Gene “Sarasota Slim” Hardage and YouTube sensation Luca Sestak. Be sure to bid on a silent auction composed of art, fresh pies, boat tours, and more.
