Those who were vacationing on Anna Maria this week enjoyed absolutely wonderful weather almost all week with sun and temperatures in the low to mid-80s!
We spent more time on the beach than normal and had a chance to talk with a family who has visited the Island for years. They were impressed by how popular the island has become compared to when they first discovered it.
Well, good news travels fast and when people enjoy a place they often spread the word to all their friends! This has caused an increase in businesses such as restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, spa/salons, and rental equipment, providing more fun activities for visitors.
We have also seen a growing number of articles which mention Anna Maria Island, as the charm of this island captures more and more hearts. Just last week Trip Advisor named Anna Maria #4 on the top 10 islands in the US.
And last year, Southern Living included a feature on Anna Maria as one of Florida’s Best Beaches.
Even as the popularity of Anna Maria Island increases, the ‘Old Florida’ style remains the same. If you are looking for a quiet place to enjoy nature, the sun, lots of bike riding and long walks, this island is for you. One of my favorite articles depicts the character and feel of the island quite well.
