Prepping for an afternoon picnic? Want to stock your Anna Maria Island vacation rental with food for the whole trip?

Delis are convenient, accessible, and affordable, and Anna Maria Island has a whole host of them for you to choose from. We hand-selected our top three favorite delis on Anna Maria Island. Review all of our vacation home rentals for families and find one right near one of these helpful little corner deli shops.

Scott’s Deli

Meet Scott. A good-ol’ Kansas boy who pursued his dream of owning a sandwich shop. According to him, he didn’t think it would be on an island paradise. His fresh ingredients are locally sourced. We love Scott’s sandwich shop. He makes sure to snugly pack healthy portions between two freshly-made buns for every sandwich.

There are lots of lovely goodies, including the steak and eggs, fitted with roast beef, fried egg, swiss cheese, peppers, onions, ciabatta, and the southwestern, a full sandwich of bacon, fried egg, pepper jack, chipotle, avocado, salsa, white bread. Scott likes some non-traditional ingredients, such as fig jam, chipotle, hot capicola, and the killer bourbon bacon jam.

Not only does Scott’s Deli provide tasty sandwiches, but they also deliver – even to the beach! This is a perfect option when you find yourself ready for lunch, but the kids want to keep swimming or you just need to finish your book.

Scott’s Deli is located at 5350 Gulf Dr, Holmes Beach, conveniently located near our neighborhood of Anna Maria Island pet-friendly rentals. It is open reliably every single day of the week from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

My AMI (formerly Rudy’s Subs)

Rudy’s Subs is now known as My AMI, but the same heart and feel for the classic Old Florida deli is well-intact.

The first thing to capture your attention at My AMI is the color. Coated in all sorts of fanciful colors, blue and red streaks outside, rainbow plates, and more, you can’t escape the cheery energy and vibes here- nor would you ever want to.

My AMI is known for their hand-made bread, pastries, and desserts, like the muffin, bagel, and cinnamon roll. There’s also a ham or sausage patty on any bread of your choosing sandwich, a veggie option, with egg, mushrooms, onions, tomato, cheese, and special pepper on a sub roll, and any of the meat selections, a similar set-up with the addition of thick slabs of steak or ham. They also have some tasty coffee and some lovely breakfast selections, like the famously fluffy French omelet or the breakfast quiche.

My AMI is an awesome little French-styled shack on Gulf Dr., in the heart of Anna Maria city.

Minnie’s Beach Cafe

Minnie’s is like a classic throwback breakfast diner, and that’s very intentional. The location only takes cash, for now, helping to contribute to its lazy yet time-tested authenticity.

You get all the best in classic southern breakfast food at the authentic Minnie’s Beach Cafe. All your American breakfast staples are here in their best form possible. Pancakes, breakfast sandwiches, biscuits and gravy, eggs benedict, burritos, and more are all here in a casual and time-honored café. Get an egg or two exactly how you like laid over the top of one of their most popular dishes, the Large Sandollar English muffin.

Locals love Minnie’s. You can also special order or request homemade house cakes and muffins. Minnie’s also has a tasty lunch menu – including a delicious cobb salad and many all-American sandwich options. If you haven’t made the stop for yourself, you are missing out. Make sure you knock this classic eatery off your breakfast-inspired AMI bucket list.

Minnie’s is located at 5360 Gulf Dr, Holmes Beach. Observant readers may notice that this deli is located right by Scott’s Deli. Try a little something to snack on at both spots, and see how awesome casual deli food can be if you seek out the right Anna Maria Island restaurants.
